These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Suyong Park (“we”, “us”, or the “Developer”) for your use of the Secret Chat Android application and related services.
Acceptance of these Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Secret Chat (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Where the App presents an acceptance screen, you must accept before creating or sharing user-generated content.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. The Service is not for children. You may not misrepresent your age, identity, location, or authority to use an account.
What Secret Chat provides
The Service may include random or preference-based matching, nearby discovery, profiles, direct and room messaging, automatic translation, media sharing, voice or video calling, optional privacy settings, reporting and blocking, advertising, points, subscriptions, and other paid features.
- Matches, profiles, country labels, and nearby information are supplied by users or inferred from service data and may be inaccurate.
- Location shown to others is intended to be approximate; never rely on it for emergencies or personal safety.
- Automatic translations can contain omissions, errors, or offensive results. Use judgment before acting on translated text.
- Optional privacy settings do not stop recipients from copying, recording, photographing, or forwarding content and must not be understood as a guarantee of end-to-end confidentiality.
Respect is a condition of entry
You must comply with applicable law and must not create, request, upload, transmit, promote, or facilitate:
- Child endangerment, CSAE, CSAM, grooming, sextortion, or sexualization of a minor.
- Pornography, illegal sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual coercion, predatory behavior, prostitution, escort services, compensated dating, “sugar dating,” or solicitation of sexual acts for money, gifts, or value.
- Harassment, threats, stalking, hate, discrimination, defamation, doxxing, blackmail, violence, self-harm encouragement, or exploitation.
- Spam, scams, phishing, impersonation, deceptive activity, malware, unauthorized advertising, or manipulation of points, purchases, ads, reports, or matching.
- Illegal goods or services, infringement of privacy or intellectual-property rights, or instructions that enable wrongdoing.
- Attempts to probe, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, bypass security, evade a ban, access another account, or interfere with the Service.
You are responsible for your interactions. Do not send money, financial credentials, identity documents, passwords, exact home or work locations, or other information that could expose you to harm. Meeting another user offline is entirely at your own risk.
Your content remains yours
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, translate, display, and technically modify that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service or comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to backups, recipient copies, safety preservation, and legal retention.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to share your content and that it complies with these Terms. You must not upload another person’s private or intimate content without valid consent.
Report, block, and enforcement
Use the clearly labeled in-app report and block controls when a user or content violates these Terms. For urgent child-safety concerns, also contact kalnalvid@gmail.com. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
We may investigate reports; preserve relevant evidence; filter, restrict, remove, or decline to deliver content; limit features; and warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to law enforcement, child-protection agencies, stores, or other appropriate authorities. These measures do not create a duty to monitor every message in advance.
Points, subscriptions, and billing
- Prices, benefits, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Google Play purchases are also governed by Google Play’s terms.
- Subscriptions renew until canceled through Google Play or the method shown at purchase. Deleting the App or account may not automatically cancel an external store subscription.
- Points and virtual benefits are limited licenses for use in the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred except through an expressly supported feature, and may expire or be adjusted for fraud, refunds, errors, or Service closure as permitted by law.
- Refunds are handled under applicable law and the payment provider’s rules. Contact us if a completed purchase is not reflected correctly.
Data use is a separate promise
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, providers that may process it, retention periods, account deletion, and your choices. Device permissions can be managed in Android settings.
The Service will change
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, countries, languages, pricing, or compatibility. Maintenance, network failures, provider outages, moderation, or legal requirements may interrupt access. We do not guarantee a specific match, response, translation, location result, user identity, or uninterrupted operation.
Leaving the Service
You may stop using the Service and delete your account through the in-app deletion flow. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the Service, respond to legal requirements, or address prolonged inactivity or discontinuation. Provisions that by nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, dispute, and lawful retention terms—remain effective.
Limits of the Service
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, safety, and availability. We do not verify every user or control what users say or do.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or loss of data, profit, opportunity, or goodwill arising from the Service or another user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in the Republic of Korea will hear disputes unless mandatory consumer law gives you another right or forum.
Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, safety practice, or platform requirements. The updated version and date will be posted here. Material changes may also be announced in the App. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
